Vivian Jones was born in 1957 in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica. At the age of ten, he moved to England to join his parents, who had emigrated a few years earlier. By the mid-1970s, Jones began his music career performing with sound systems as a deejay. He later became a member of several bands, including The Spartans, The Doctor Birds, Mighty Vibes, and Pieces, which deepened his passion for performing. In 1980, he embarked on a solo project that led to the release of his hit song "Good Morning." Vivian Jones passed away on 27 October 2025.
