Boz Boorer
Boz Boorer is a true musical maestro with a legacy of innovation and fruitful collaborations. After studying music at age five & learning the clarinet at age 10, Boz’s love story with the guitar began, leading to his discovery of '50s glam rock and the 1978 birth of his first band, The Polecats.
Following the punk explosion, Boz quickly started blending musical genres: that’s when he first picked up the saxophone and signed his first recording contract. His early studio experience birthed recording intrigue, leading to six years as a Chrysalis audio engineer, where he worked with talented musicians & songwriters spanning genres.
1991 marked Boz's stride into Morrissey's sphere as guitarist and music director. Over their 30-year partnership, Boz co-wrote, recorded, and toured many successful albums worldwide while independently collaborating with artists such as Adam Ant & Edwyn Collins.
Vinyl is also a lifelong affection paralleling his music passion: 40+ years of curation & 30 years of record shop management led Boz to accumulate a one-of-a-kind crate collection with some unique hidden treasures.
