Brandon McMahon
Brandon McMahon is a multifaceted curator and online archivist based in Arizona.
His journey into DJing began in 2009 while living in San Francisco. His record collection is a treasure trove of obscure and rare finds, focusing on AOR/soft rock/modern soul/folk LPs and 45s from the early '70s through the '80s. Just like his meticulous design archiving process, record collecting is a rewarding exploration for Brandon - picking out strange, interesting, and foreign pieces.
Brandon’s musical pursuits are an addition to his ventures in the realms of design, art, video art, and radio archives. He has curated unique collections of strange and spartan design specimens, with a taste that leans toward left-of-center design, situated at the intersection of late modernism and utopian idealism.
Brandon’s collections are showcased through various blogs and archival Instagram accounts, each a pet project reflecting his diverse interests. These include the Richard Demarco Archive, Top Value Television, Pacifica Radio Archive, and Golden West Books.
