A true connoisseur of Funk music, DāM-FunK is a self-taught musician, producer, DJ, and avid record collector from Pasadena, CA. Imbued with the vibrant culture of Los Angeles, where he's lived and thrived, DāM-FunK's journey in music began under the guidance of mentor Leon Sylvers III right after high school. He honed his craft and built a strong foundation through collaborations and keyboard sessions, eventually leading him to curate the popular Funkmosphere nightclub. Recognized by indie label Stones Throw Records, he released his debut album "Toeachizown," embarking on a global musical journey and venturing into remixes and innovative collaborations. An embodiment of the funk movement, DāM-FunK's musical odyssey has been a tale of creative exploration and collaboration. Beyond remixes and dynamic projects, he's fostered partnerships with diverse artists, from Snoop Dogg and Tyler, The Creator to Ariel Pink and Christine and the Queens. Evolving with the times, he established Glydezone Recordings and delved into scoring for modern platforms like the GTA Online game. His latest venture with Apple Music, Glydezone Radio, showcases his love for classic funk and soul, inviting listeners to delve into the deep, rich grooves of the last five decades.
