Kate Carr

Kate Carr is an artist focused on exploring the textures and technologies of field recording using movement, objects, and experimental recording techniques. She creates intimate, delicate, and hybrid soundworlds that center the interactions and collectivity that generate soundscapes. For the past ten years, she has curated the experimental music label Flaming Pines and created playlists, mixes, and radio programs for the BBC World Service, BBC Radio 4, the Wire Magazine, NTS, and Resonance FM.
