Lena C
Léna C. is a Manchester/West Yorkshire-based DJ and producer born and bred in Brittany, France. Since embarking on her solo musical journey in 2020 following three years with the collective Me Gusta, Léna has made a name for herself garnering the support of her peers such as Gilles Peterson, Tina Edwards, Crazy P, Mr Scruff, and Andy Votel.
With a penchant for vinyl, Léna’s eclectic sets span myriad genres, ranging from Afrobeat, Zouk, and Jazz to Funk, Disco, Psychedelic, and beyond, seamlessly blending vintage and modern sounds. The exploration of the rich tapestry of global sounds is also what nurtures Léna’s own compositions as exemplified in her debut EP ‘Promenade’.
Léna has made appearances on My Analog Journal, Worldwide FM, NTS, SOHO Radio, and Radio Al Hara and played at some of the most well-respected venues and festivals in the U.K. and abroad: Jazz Cafe, Band On The Wall, We Are Here, Golden Lion, Gottwood, JaZZx, Worldwide Festival.
