Party Dad
Party Dad (aka Tay McNabb) started out as a punk kid. After developing an obsession with underground music at an early age, he spent his formative years in the Charleston, SC DIY scene, playing in bands, fooling around with four-tracks, and throwing shows in his living room with eclectic, cross-genre lineups that reflected his ever-expanding music taste.
The discovery of a love for disco records in the late 2000s and a chance meeting with edits Minister JAZ (another Charleston resident at the time) led him down a rabbit hole to the dance
world, and the two began throwing their Off\Beat parties, where they played forgotten classics unearthed from area dollar bins alongside imported obscurities likely never heard before in the state.
Party Dad now resides in NYC, where he can be heard playing funky cuts from his extensive record collection in clubs and bars all over Brooklyn, still bringing the eclectic, cross-genre vibes of his DIY years to dance floors full of like-minded nightlife oddballs.
