Rui Miguel Abreu has been writing about music since 1989. He currently writes for Portugal's weekly newspaper, Expresso, and runs his own digital magazine, Rimas e Batidas, focusing on hip-hop, electronic music, jazz, and more. He also contributes to the international We Jazz Magazine. He DJs when he finds the time and produces different radio shows for Portugal's Antena 3, including the Weekly Notas Azuis, which delves deep into the world of new jazz. He loves the noise that machines make. He also collects records — all sorts and lots of them.
