Sasa Crnobrnja (In Flagranti)
For the past four decades, Sasa Crnobrnja’s curiosity and taste have brought him to the forefront of the music, fashion, and contemporary culture scenes. From music studios to record labels and catwalks to dance floors, Sasa's innovative sound design and direction showcase a distinct sound entirely his own.
As a co-founder of Codek Records and a key member of acts including In Flagranti, Mytron & Ofofo, and Cosmic Rocker, Sasa has released tracks on notable labels like Kitsune, Phantasy, Gomma, and Les Yeux Orange, among others. Notably, he was among the first acts featured on Tim Sweeney’s influential Beats in Space radio show. His extensive list of remixes spans artists like S'Express, Franz Ferdinand, Trevor Jackson, Hercules and Love Affair, The Avalanches, Daniel Avery, Blood Orange, Röyksopp, and Robyn, to name just a few.
In recent years, Sasa's work has expanded to include original music and sound design for fashion shows and digital content. Noteworthy collaborations include original music for Martine Rose's fashion shows during London Fashion Week since 2016, Napapijri by Martine Rose videos, Emilio de la Morena's original music for fashion shows FW'13, SS'14, FW'14, SS'15; and Jill Stuart runway shows from 2000 - 2001.
Currently, Sasa is a regular DJ at renowned clubs worldwide, from Womb in Tokyo to Fabric in London to MN Roy in Mexico City. His legacy includes founding NYC’s legendary warehouse party Organic Grooves in 1995, which paved the way for residencies at CBGB’s Gallery, Bowery Ballroom, and others until 2003.
