Sean P's childhood fascination with records and the music they contained led him to buy records regularly while at school. His career path changed when he saw a 'staff wanted' note posted in the window of one of the shops he frequented. Since the 1980s, he's been on the business end of the counter at record outlets all over London. Sean is also a DJ, compiler, sleeve note annotator, mix, re-mastering, and restoration engineer. Since the early 2000s, he has remastered and restored, largely uncredited, thousands of tracks for re-issue, broadcast, and film. Sean's music choices are centred on the soul, funk, and jazz he listened to on pirate radio in the early '80s—and they have expanded due to the many people he's met along the way.
