ROVR Soho & Unheard Africa Presents: Nigeria 66, a listening session and talk for Nigerian independence month - An evening of Nigerian records exploring the country’s musical legacy, from highlife and juju to the golden era and the history that underpins it. We are excited to be welcoming Dele Sosimi to talk through 8 different Nigerian tracks on Vinyl tracing the history of Nigerian sound and his part in it notably by playing with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80. Following this we have the pleasure of hosting Dare Balogun a dj, researcher and collector of African musical rarities pulling special records from Nigeria.
