Formed in Thessaloniki in 1996, Στρογγυλό Κίτρινο (Strongylo Kitrino) quickly made their mark on the Greek music scene with their distinctive sound. Their self-titled debut EP in 1997 featured "Το Βαλς της Νύχτας" ("The Waltz of the Night"), a track that garnered widespread acclaim. The band's lineup included Άκης Πελτέκης (guitar, vocals), Γιώργος Μπρατάνης (Cayetano) on piano and synthesizers, Λεωνίδας Μπεϊλής (bass), and Κώστας Τυριτίδης (drums). In 1999, they released their full-length album "Ξένος" ("Xenos"), further solidifying their reputation. Their music, characterized by its simplicity and immediacy, resonated with audiences, leading to notable performances alongside artists like Μανώλης Φάμελλος & Ποδηλάτες and the American band 16 Horsepower.
