Τα Ξύλινα Σπαθιά (The Wooden Swords) are a pioneering Greek rock band formed in Thessaloniki in 1993, widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in Greece’s alternative music scene. Blending poetic Greek lyrics with elements of rock, blues, and post-punk, the band, led by Pavlos Pavlidis, helped define the sound of the 1990s Greek underground. Their albums, including *Xessaloniki* and *Mia matia san vrochi*, became cultural touchstones, earning critical acclaim for their introspective mood and innovative sound.
