Τρύπες (Trypes) were a pioneering Greek rock band from Thessaloniki, formed in 1983 by Giannis Aggelakas and Giorgos Karanikolas. Known for their raw sound, poetic lyrics, and uncompromising attitude, they blended punk energy with introspective and socially charged themes, shaping the course of Greek alternative rock. Their groundbreaking albums, including *Enia pliromes* and *Kefali gemato chrysafi*, garnered critical acclaim and cult status. Though the band disbanded in 2001, their influence continues to resonate deeply within Greece’s independent music scene.
