1000 Names is a duo consisting of DJs "Casio Blaster" and "99 Mistakes" from Sofia, Bulgaria. They began collaborating in the late 1990s, drawn to the original hip-hop culture and the art of beat-making, which involved extensive sampling and music recycling. Casio has a lifelong background in drumming, having played with various jazz and funk bands, while 99 has participated in numerous art projects over the past seven years. Since 2003, they have been active DJs in local clubs, blending genres from old school to soul, and have developed their unique style known as "eklekto hip-hop," with the ultimate goal of breaking the beat.
