14KT, born on October 17th, 1980, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, is a multi-genre producer, artist, emcee, and DJ. He is a self-proclaimed "Chop Artist," specializing in the true art of sampling and sonically "chopping" records to create unique beats and sound collages. In 2010, he became the last Red Bull Big Tune National Beat Battle Champion. 14KT is also a member of several groups and runs the label imprints Karat Gold Music and Solid Gold Se7ens.
