1919 is a band formed in Bradford, UK, originally active from 1980 to 1984 and then reuniting in 2014, where they continue to perform. The lineup has seen changes over the years. The original vocalist was Ian Tilleard, who was active from 1980 to 1984, and Rio Goldhammer has taken over the vocals since 2014. Mark Tighe played guitar from 1980 to 1984 and returned for the 2014 reunion until 2017, then again in 2019, while Sam Evans took over the guitar in 2017. The bass position was held by Nick Hiles from 1980 to 1982 and again in 1983, followed by Steve Madden from 1983 to 1984 and then again in 2019. Karl Donner played bass from 2015 to 2020, and Simon 'Ding' Archer has been with the band since 2020. Mick Reed has been the drummer throughout the band's history. After the split in 1983, Tighe, Tilleard, and Madden formed a new group, while Reed went on to form another band.
