2Pac, born on June 16, 1971, in East Harlem, New York, was an influential American rapper and actor. He began his career as a roadie for a music group and was signed by a record label in 1990. In 1995, he added another record deal to his Interscope agreement. Alongside his music career, 2Pac also acted in films, including Juice (1992) and Above The Rim (1994). Tragically, on September 7, 1996, he was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, and succumbed to his injuries six days later, on September 13, 1996.
