4th Coming was an American funk band hailing from Los Angeles, California, active during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band was formed with the help of a local impresario who assisted the core songwriting duo of Jechonias and Jack S. Williams, along with Williams' former brother-in-law, Henry ‘Hank’ Porter. Williams and his friend Yusuf Rahman took charge of arranging and recording the musicians, while Porter contributed his own lyrics and provided vocals. The lineup featured a revolving cast of musicians, including a psych-rock guitarist and members of The Watts 103rd St Rhythm Band.
