5 Elementz, also known as 5-Ela, is a rap group hailing from Detroit, MI, formed in 1992. The group's origins trace back to a duo called "Tribe Of The Woods," which consisted of Proof and his Osborn classmate, Thyme. They later changed their name to "Yaffle Daffle" upon the addition of a third member, Mudd, before ultimately adopting the name 5 Elementz. The members of the group met while attending Osborn High School on 7 Mile.
