A Man Called Adam, comprised of Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones, has been at the forefront of pioneering electronic music since the late 80s. Their sound, which defies categorization, has made significant contributions to genres such as Acid Jazz, Balearic House, Ibiza Chill Out, and Nu British House. Known for their endless curiosity and innovative spirit, they returned to the spotlight in 2019 with their acclaimed album Farmarama, performing live at notable festivals like Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here and Kala Festival in Albania. They have collaborated with both emerging talents and established artists for remixes, including contributions from Carlos Gualda, DJ Aleksandir, Felipe Gordon, and Prins Thomas. In 2021 and 2022, A Man Called Adam compiled two extensive collections – Love Forgotten, Oddities and Rarities Parts 1 & 2 – showcasing hidden gems from their catalogue, along with special edition releases of classic tracks. Their music continues to resonate, appearing in various influential collections such as 'Bleeps, Breaks and Bass' on Musique pour le Dance, Luke Solomon’s 'Space' compilation, and Café Del Mar’s 'The Evolution of Chill,' as well as Track ID playlists from artists like Honey Dijon and Gerd Janson. Recently, they released 'The Girl With A Hole In Her Heart,' an album inspired by Teesside and the coastal and industrial landscapes of Sally's upbringing.
