A Split-Second is an electronic music duo formed in 1985, originally as a solo project by Marc Heyndrickx, who performed under the name Marc Ickx. The project began with the self-released demo tape "Stained Impressions," produced by Peter Bonne, also known as Chrismar Chayell. After signing with Antler Records, A Split-Second debuted in 1986 with an EP featuring the hit "Flesh," followed by the album "Ballistic Statues" in 1987, which included contributions from electronic musician Philip Vargod. Following a brief tour, Vargod left the band, and Bonne officially joined as a member, co-authoring several songs, including "Rigor Mortis," which was released as a single in 1987. In late 1988, A Split-Second signed with Wax Trax! Records, releasing their albums "A Split-Second" and "From The Inside" in the US, along with singles like "Mambo Witch," which reached #29 on the Billboard US dance club charts in 1989. Their 1990 album, "Kiss of Fury," showcased a shift towards a guitar-based sound, featuring the successful single "The Parallax View." In 1991, Bonne became involved in a side project, Wasteland, leading to the release of the remix album "Flesh & Fire - 1991 Remixes" without Ickx. The duo
