Aba Shanti-I was introduced to Roots and Culture at a young age through his father's sound system, Allan's, which sparked his interest in music. He became the MC for 'Jah Tubbys Sound,' where he traveled across the country delivering conscious lyrics over heavy dubplate mixes. His debut performance took place at the Leicester Carnival in 1990, showcasing his unique style of dub plates. In addition to his musical career, Aba works as a disc cutting engineer and is responsible for mixing all of the dubs from the Falasha stable. He is the younger brother of another artist.
