Abilio Manoel was a Portuguese singer, composer, and music producer born in Lisbon on February 3, 1947, and he passed away in Itacaré on June 30, 2010. He was also a broadcaster, publicist, film director, audio operator, and composer of jingles and soundtracks. His most notable success was "Pena Verde," which topped the charts in 1970 and brought him national recognition. The song was later recorded in French by Marie Laforêt as "Elle A Raison" in 1971 and was sampled by Luisa Sonza in her song of the same name in 2023. Other popular songs by him include "Luiza Manequim" and "Era Uma Vez."
