A.C. Marias was a British alternative duo formed in 1980, consisting of Angela Conway (vocals, lyrics) and Bruce Gilbert (guitar, production). Gilbert, known for his work with the post-punk band Wire, collaborated with Conway to release their first single, "Drop" b/w "So." After a period of inactivity, the duo re-activated in 1986, producing three additional singles and the full-length LP "One Of Our Girls Has Gone Missing" in 1989. The group disbanded in 1990, after which Conway pursued a career as a music video director.
