Brian Johnson, formerly of Geordie, stepped in as the new vocalist, and the band released "Back In Black," a tribute to Scott that became one of the best-selling albums of all time, with over 40 million copies sold worldwide. Phil Rudd departed in May 1983, leading to Simon Wright joining as drummer. Wright left in November 1989, and Chris Slade took
