Acen is a prominent figure in the early 1990s UK rave and hardcore breakbeat techno scene. He gained recognition with his hit "Close Your Eyes," which became an anthem in the hardcore breakbeat genre. Following this success, Acen released several notable tracks, including "Trip II The Moon," "Window In The Sky," and his debut album "75 Minutes." "Trip II The Moon" is particularly regarded as his landmark release. Although Acen's music was not signed to major labels and remained with Production House, "Close Your Eyes" earned the title of Music Week's Dance Single of the Year, and "Trip II the Moon" reached the UK top 40 chart in 1992. He later explored Drum n' Bass, releasing tracks like "No More" and "116.7" on Warner Brothers' subsidiary F-111. In recent years, Acen has shifted his focus to directing and editing films and music videos, including his 2004 release "Dirty Raver" on TCR label, which featured a video directed by him.
