Acid Dad is an American alternative-rock band formed by singer-guitarists Vaughn Hunt and Sean Fahey, along with drummer Trevor Mustoe. The band originated in Vaughn's basement in Bushwick, NY, where they released their early singles "Brain Body" and their debut EP "Let’s Plan a Robbery." Since their emergence in the New York City rock scene in 2016, Acid Dad has gained international recognition with their self-titled debut album released in 2018. In 2021, the band continued to independently produce their music and art, even building their own guitars. They released their second LP, ‘Take It From The Dead,’ and worked on constructing a studio space in Queens, NY, which was unfortunately lost to a catastrophic flood caused by Hurricane Ida later that year. However, the energy and essence of that studio were preserved in their live film and album ‘Levitation Sessions,’ recorded just months before the disaster. In 2022, Acid Dad released the 7” single ‘Get Me High,’ accompanied by a visually captivating video created by their visual artist Webb Hunt. The B-side, "Brain Body," was recorded live at the Shaky Knees Festival in April 2022.
