Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO is a Japanese psychedelic rock band founded in 1995 by members of the Acid Mothers Temple soul-collective. Led by Kawabata Makoto, the band serves as a freak-out group for the 21st century, with "U.F.O." standing for "underground freak out." The lineup is ever-mutating, featuring current members Speed Guru (guitars, electronics, vocals), Noodle God (synthesizer, vocals, harmonica), Another Dimension (drums), Midnight Whistler (guitar, bouzouki, vocals), and Hex Man (bass guitar). Former members include Beer & Cigarette (synthesizer, vocals), various drummers and vocalists, as well as musicians playing instruments like violin, saxophone, and bass guitar.
