Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. is a Japanese psychedelic rock band founded in 1995 by members of the Acid Mothers Temple soul-collective, led by Kawabata Makoto. The band was created as a freak-out group for the 21st century, with "U.F.O." standing for "underground freak out." The lineup of the band is ever-changing. Current members include Speed Guru on guitars, electronics, and vocals (1995–present), Noodle God on synthesizer, vocals, and harmonica (1998–present), Another Dimension on drums (2014–present), Midnight Whistler on guitar, bouzouki, and vocals (2018–present), and Hex Man on bass guitar (2022–present). Former members have included Beer & Cigarette on synthesizer and vocals (1995-2004, guest since 2012), various drummers, vocalists, and instrumentalists spanning from 1995 to 2017, such as Cheesecake (violin, performer, photography), Cosmic Joker (bass guitar, vocals), and Latino Cool (drums, 2006-2014), among others. Visual credits for the band often go to unnamed contributors.
