Act 1 was a studio group from Detroit, MI, assembled by a producer. They achieved notable success in 1973 with two hits on the R&B chart: "Friends Or Lovers" and "Takes Two Of Us." The group included members Reggie Ross and George Barker, while Raeford Gerald also recorded under the name Act 1.
