Adalberto Santiago was born on April 23, 1937, in Barrio Pozas, Ciales, Puerto Rico. Renowned for his exceptional lead vocals, he is considered one of the best in salsa music. For over two decades, Santiago has contributed as a chorus singer on numerous recordings in New York. His early influences include legendary Cuban vocalists Beny Moré and Miguelito Cuní.
