Adam Beyer is a Swedish techno producer and DJ, born on May 15, 1976, in Stockholm. He began DJing and producing music in the mid-90s, initially exploring genres such as acid, gabber, speedcore, and hard house. Alongside his good friend, he created numerous records under various aliases. After becoming involved with the local Swedish music scene, he co-founded Planet Rhythm, worked in their record shop, and shifted towards analog techno, releasing tracks on labels like Planet Rhythm. In 1996, after experimenting with more distorted and raw sounds, he sold his share of Planet Rhythm and founded Drumcode. Initially, Drumcode focused on Swedish artists, collaborating with local talents and occasionally inviting international friends for remix compilations. This collective effort helped define the "Swedish Techno" sound, with Beyer's third album released in 1999 serving as a notable example of this style. Beyer continued to explore new sounds through sublabels like Truesoul and Mad Eye, inviting more Swedish artists to contribute and further solidifying the "Swedish Techno" identity. By 2004, alongside influential figures in the scene, he started to refresh the techno sound with a more minimal approach. His label expanded globally around the end of 2006, embracing the new minimal movement and featuring a variety of artists. In 2013, Beyer diversified his label and productions beyond techno, becoming open to tech, deep, and progressive house. This
