Adam de la Halle, also known as Adam le Bossu (Adam the Hunchback), was a French-born trouvère, poet, and musician, born around 1237 and passing away in 1288. He is recognized for breaking with the long-established tradition of writing liturgical poetry and music, contributing to the early development of secular theater in France. Additionally, he was a member of the Confrérie des jongleurs et bourgeois d'Arras.
