Adrian Sherwood is an English record producer and musician, born on January 20, 1958, in London. He is best known for his work in dub music and for remixing a number of popular acts. Sherwood is the founder of several labels and is recognized for his most well-known label, which he sometimes operates under his own name. He is also the 4th member of the industrial hip-hop outfit, credited as "mixologist." During the early 1980s, he brought together many Jamaican artists under the collective name, promoting both the individual artists and the On-U label.
