Against Me! is an American punk rock band formed in 1997 in Naples, Florida, by singer and guitarist Laura Jane Grace. The band's lineup has included guitarist James Bowman since 2001. After releasing three studio albums through independent record labels, they signed with Sire Records. In 2011, Against Me! established their own record label, Total Treble Music, to release future albums. In 2012, Laura Jane Grace publicly came out as a transgender woman.
