Agrupacion Galaxia is a musical group from the San Marcos Department in Guatemala, formed in 1973 by three students from Colegio San Marcos. The group was created to entertain at the famous review sessions and welcome parties for students. The original members of this recording from 1976 include Ramiro Mérida (bass), Oscar Juárez (drums), Alfonso (Fonshito) Villagrán (keyboards), and Juan Arturo Díaz (guitar). They later added brass instruments to their lineup and were also known as Super Banda "Galaxia."
