Ahmad Jamal is a renowned musician who made his first records in 1951. He recorded for a label that would later be associated with The Ahmad Jamal Trio, although Jamal himself prefers not to use the term "trio." Throughout his career, he collaborated with various musicians, including a guitarist and a bassist, who played with him at different times: one bassist from 1950 to 1952, another from 1953 to 1954, and a third bassist starting in 1954.
