Ahmad Nawab (born 6 April 1932 in Penang, Malaysia - died 24 November 2024), officially known as Dato' Dr. Ahmad Khan Nawab Khan, was a renowned Malaysian composer. He wrote over 2,000 songs and collaborated with notable artists such as Sudirman Arshad, Salamiah Hassan, Andre Goh, and M.Sani. Ahmad began his career in the 1950s and spent 17 years with the Orkestra RTM, earning numerous awards throughout his lifetime. Among his accolades are the Merak Kayangan Award and the Bintang Malam in 1980. He received the prestigious Seniman Negara Award in 2006, presented by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail during the Anugerah Seni Negara event. This honor included a cash prize of RM60,000 and an appointment as an official delegate for the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism Malaysia (KeKKWa) at national and international forums. Dato' Ahmad Nawab was also known for his signature sunglasses and white suit, often performing a saxophone solo.
