Aitor Etxebarria is a Spanish/Basque independent composer and programmer based in the Basque Country. Born in Gernika in 1985, he combines electronic and acoustic instruments, focusing primarily on pianos and synthesizers. His recordings span from post-rock depressive landscapes to minimalistic ambient scenarios. A learned percussionist and pianist, Etxebarria is also a vintage gear collector with a passionate obsession for repetitions. He founded his own label and made his debut in film scoring with the acclaimed original soundtrack of “Markak,” marking a new era after his enigmatic years behind an alias.
