Akalé Wubé is a Parisian band dedicated to the grooves of 60s and 70s Ethiopian music. Formed in 2009, they have been passionately exploring the musical treasures of Swingin' Addis, inspired by the “Ethiopiques” compilation. The band consists of Etienne de la Sayette on tenor and baritone saxophone, bansuri flute, and washint; Paul Bouclier on trumpet, percussions, and krar; Loïc Réchard on guitar; Oliver Degabriele on electric bass; and David Georgelet on drums. Pierre Dachery is responsible for sound.
