Akrobatik, born Jared Bridgeman, is a Boston rapper who made his debut with the single "Ruff Enough" in 1998. His second single, "Internet MCs," was released by the independent New York label Rawkus. Akrobatik gained significant recognition with his next release, "Say Yes Say Word," which became an anthem and established his reputation as a skilled MC. He frequently collaborates with fellow Bostonian Mr. Lif, appearing on the Emergency Rations EP and Lif's album I Phantom before releasing his own debut album, Balance, in 2003. Alongside Mr. Lif and DJ Fakts One, he formed the group The Perceptionists, which released the highly praised album Black Dialogue in 2005.
