Alabê KetuJazz is a Brazilian jazz group that fuses traditional Afro-Brazilian Candomblé percussion with jazz elements. Their compositions create a dialogue between the Ketu nation's percussion and the saxophone, reflecting the interaction between the Rum drum, which leads the Candomblé ceremonies, and the Orisha, the spirit embodied by a person in trance. The group was founded by a French percussionist residing in Rio de Janeiro who serves as an Ogan in Candomblé, alongside Brazilian saxophonist. The ensemble also includes Dofono de Omolu, the Grand Master of the Candomblé drums, and percussionists Tiago Magalhães and Gabriel Guenther.
