Alain Debray, also known by his alias "El Malveta," was an Argentinian jazz and tango electric guitarist, composer, arranger, and orchestral director. Born on October 29, 1929, in Concordia, he moved to Buenos Aires in 1947. Throughout his career, he wrote for television musical works, created jingles, musicalized film scores, and accompanied various rhythms and tango. He gained recognition in 1954 at the iconic Bop Club Argentino, where he was discovered by Malvicino. His style evolved through the late 1960s and early 1970s, distinguished by collaborations with contemporary directors of proficient musical backgrounds. Alain Debray passed away on November 21, 2023, in Concordia.
