Alain Goraguer was a French jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor, born on August 20, 1931, in Rosny-sous-Bois. He passed away on February 13, 2023, in Paris. Throughout his career, he collaborated with various artists and was credited on some releases under different names. Goraguer served as an arranger and conductor at the Eurovision Song Contest multiple times, notably leading the orchestra in 1965 for France Gall's "Poupée de cire, poupée de son." He also composed film soundtracks under the alias Paul Vernon and was the father of a notable individual.
