Alain Goraguer was a French jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor, born on August 20, 1931, in Rosny-sous-Bois. He passed away on February 13, 2023, in Paris. Goraguer worked with various artists and was sometimes credited on releases under different names. He served as an arranger and conductor for the Eurovision Song Contest on multiple occasions, notably in 1965 when he led the orchestra for France Gall's song "Poupée de cire, poupée de son." Additionally, he composed film soundtracks under the alias Paul Vernon. He was also the father of a notable individual.
