Alain Kan was a French singer born in Paris on September 14, 1944. He disappeared on April 14, 1990, with his last known sighting in the Parisian metro station Rue de la Pompe. His career spanned from the mid-1960s to the 1980s and was characterized by an atypical trajectory. Initially, his releases were either commercially driven or lacked significant artistic interest, but over time, they evolved into more original and creative works, despite him being marginalized. Kan was also a precursor in openly disclosing his homosexuality.
