Albert Verrecchia is a French-born composer, born in 1946, who moved to Italy in the 1960s. He formed a group during this time and released two albums. His sister, known as Evy, gained some popularity as a solo singer with the single "L'abito non fa il beatnik." Verrecchia collaborated with many artists, including on his debut album "Aria," where he appeared as a keyboardist and arranger. In the 1970s, he focused primarily on film soundtracks, notable works include "Tecnica di un amore," which was released on LP by the Naples label B.B.B. and later reissued on vinyl and CD, and the recently rediscovered "Roma drogata: La polizia non può intervenire," from a 1975 film that had never been released on record before. Unlike many other soundtrack composers, Verrecchia favored electric sounds over orchestral arrangements, and his recent CD features interesting tracks in rock and blues styles with vague psychedelic influences. Among the musicians featured in his soundtracks are various notable artists. He later worked as a producer under a different name.
