Alejandro Duran, known as Alejo Durán, was a Colombian accordionist, composer, and orchestra leader born on February 9, 1919, in El Paso, Cesar. He was part of the renowned Durán dynasty of vallenato music and passed away on November 15, 1989, in Montería, Córdoba. He was the nephew of a notable figure in the genre and the brother of another, continuing the family legacy in vallenato music.
