Alejandro Durán, known as Alejo Durán, was a Colombian accordionist, composer, and orchestra leader born in El Paso, Cesar, on February 9, 1919. He was part of the renowned Durán dynasty of vallenato and was the nephew of and brother of prominent figures in the genre. Durán passed away in Montería, Córdoba, on November 15, 1989.
